The purpose of the project is to restore and improve the transport performance and the load bearing capacity of the pavement, in order to provide conditions for road safety and good drainage of the road. Complete geodesy and geological measurements have been prepared for the project, as well as projects for environmental protection and safe working conditions during construction.
The detail design project concerns major overhaul of an existing river bridge, rehabilitation of an existing bridge over the river, a new traffic organization and the displacement of existing engineering networks within the crossing.
Roads
- The section is located entirely in Burgas District.
- The beginning of the road section is at km 0+000 and starts at the intersection with road III-9061 „RRA Varna – Orizare – Kableshkovo – Burgas” at km 43+421.
- The end of the road section is at km 7+853 and ends at the intersection with road I-9 „RRA Varna – Overview – op. Sunny Beach – Bourgas” at km 202+307.
- Road III-9061 has a total length of 7 853 m.
- Road gauge: 10.50 m, consisting of lanes 2×3.75 m and banquets 2×1.50 m.
- Vdesign = 60 km/h.
- The scope of the project covered five road junctions.
- The following drainage facilities are within the scope of the road:
- Tube drains – 13;
- Existing channel;
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of an existing bridge over the Hadjiiska River at km 3+434
- The bridge is with three spans with length of 3×20,00 m and total length L = 60,00 m;
- The superstructure consists of 6 pieces of assembly beams with a rectangular section, ordinal axially through 1,60 m;
- Investigation of bridge construction and detection of defects and damages;
- Preparing a package of measures to ensure safe operation of the bridge;
- Changing the gauge of the bridge according to the new traffic organization.

Rehabilitation of an existing bridge at km 7+500
- The bridge overlaps a drainage channel with a span of 10.00m and a total length of L = 11.00m;
- Consists of 9 pcs. mounting, U-shaped elements with a width of 1.00m;
- Investigation of bridge construction and detection of defects and damages;
- Preparing a package of measures to ensure safe operation of the bridge;
- Changing the gauge of the bridge according to the new traffic organization.
