Beginning of the section: The beginning of the road section is at km 0+000, from the three-way intersection with the road II-55 “Veliko Tarnovo – Nova Zagora – TEP-2 – Svilengrad”
End of the section: The end of the section is at km 15+700 to the three-way intersection with road III-554 “Nova Zagora – Radnevo – Harmanli”

Existing road condition
The existing asphalt pavement is badly worn. The road structure does not have the necessary load-bearing capacity, due to the fact that in almost the entire section of the road there are isolated sections with visible damage along the entire roadway. The evenness of the coverage in the section is poor. Numerous network-like cracks, holes, patches, ruts, local subsidence and collapses can be observed on the surface of the pavement.
Small facilities (culverts)
25 pcs. pipe culverts and 7 pcs. plate drains
Large facilities:
- Bridge at km 2+490 – The superstructure is 9.00 m long. The clear opening of the facility is 7.80 m. The transverse gauge is 10.40 m.
- Bridge at km 7+465 – The superstructure is 8.65 m long. The clear opening of the facility is 4.65 m. The transverse gauge is 9.20 m.
- Bridge at km 8+320 – The bridge is three-span, respectively with lengths of the openings of 20.00 m and with a total length of the superstructure of 60.00 m. The transverse gauge is 7.60 m.
- Railway overpass km 14+848 – The overpass has three openings, respectively, with opening lengths of 16.00 m and a total length of the superstructure of 48.00 m. The transverse gauge is 9.50 m.
